GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES

 

Applications should be as succinct as practicable, should comply with the Trust's grants policy, and should include the following:

 

  1. Details of Organisation  
    1.1 A short introduction to the purpose and history of the organisation (for some bodies existing leaflets are ideal for this purpose).  
    1.2 The charity number or, if not a registered charity, an explanation of the status and constitution of the organisation.  
    1.3 Confirmation that the project applied for will benefit or take place within the historic county of Kent.  
       
  2. Contact Details  
    2.1 Full details of the person making the application on behalf of the organisation, including name, address, telephone number and email address if available.  
    2.2 Applications will not be accepted from third parties, such as architects or fundraising consultants.  
       
  3. Accounts  
    3.1

The latest available accounts at the end of May of the grant year (NB if applying before the end of May, the most recent accounts should be sent with the application. If further accounts become available before applications close on 30 th June, they should be forwarded to the Trust).

 
    3.2

The format of the accounts submitted is at the discretion of the applicant.

 
    3.3

It is not necessary to provide audited accounts, although these must be submitted if available.

 
       
  4. Project details  
    4.1 An outline of the project, what it involves, its objectives, and its planned benefits  
    4.2 The timetable for the project (where relevant)  
    4.3 The total budget for the project  
    4.4 Brief details of any fundraising carried out or planned, and the level of funding already secured from other sources  
    4.5 Identification of the specific element of the overall project which the Trust is asked to support and the level of funding being applied for  
    4.6 A brief explanation of how future running costs will be met (where relevant)
