Bridge Clerk shortlisted for Charity Times Awards

The Chief Executive of the Rochester Bridge Trust has been named as a finalist in a national award scheme.

Sue Threader is shortlisted in the Principal of the Year category of the Charity Times Awards, which celebrate best practice in the UK charity and not-for-profit sector.

As the first woman and the first engineer to have held the post of Bridge Clerk in the Trust’s 617-year history, Sue was shortlisted for her strong leadership, which has transformed every aspect of the organisation’s work since her appointment in 2006.

Sue commented: “It is an honour to have my efforts recognised and be selected as one of five finalists in the Principal of the Year category.”

The four other people shortlisted in the category are: Jeanette Allen, The Horse Trust; Sue Farrington Smith, Brain Tumour Research; Hilda Hayo, Dementia UK; and Dr Beverley Jacobson, Kisharon.

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner in London on 28th September. See www.charitytimes/awards for further information.
