Measure of success for surveyor

Congratulations to Joanna Blakely, one of the Trust’s professional advisers, who has qualified as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Jo works as a surveyor for property consultants Savills and has been involved with the management of the Trust’s southern property portfolio since July 2017.

A graduate of Harper Adams University, she did her dissertation on viticulture, knowledge which proved useful in the recent successful letting of a substantial parcel of land to Chapel Down for a new vineyard. The letting was part of a larger reorganisation of Trust land in the Boxley area.

Jo has also been involved with the sale of various residential properties for the Trust and the purchase of new houses, as well as the marketing of a site for redevelopment and rent review negotiations.

Bridge Clerk Sue Threader said: “Since she started working on our behalf, Jo has become a valuable member of the Trust’s team. She was closely involved with the reorganisation of our land holdings in Boxley, which was a significant piece of work, and has secured a tenant for the Trust for the next 25 years.

“I am delighted she has qualified as a member of the RICS – it’s a well-deserved accolade –and I am confident she has a very bright professional career ahead of her.”
