Education Resource Awards winners cards 1

Well done to the finalists of the Education Resources Awards 2020

As an historic charity, the Rochester Bridge Trust takes a long-term view to its commitment to providing bridges across the River Medway.

That means taking care to maintain the structures on a day-to-day basis; refurbishing the bridges to be in the best possible condition for the future; and doing what it can to ensure all the necessary resources are available to carry out this work – including skilled, trained civil engineers. To ensure there are enough engineers in the future, they need to be inspired and educated today.

As part of its education initiative, the Rochester Bridge Trust is pleased to be a sponsor of the Education Resources Awards for the fourth time.

These awards recognise the high quality and diversity of educational products, resources, services and people, as well as educational establishments and dedicated members of the teaching profession.

Education Manager Caroline Chisholm explained: “The Trust sponsors the Primary Resources category because we believe reaching out to young children is of the utmost importance if we are to catch their interest before they are influenced by stereotyping. Our priority is engineering education, but we respect the efforts of anyone who works in education and we are very pleased to support these awards.

“Congratulations to all the finalists, we look forward to finding out who the winners are.”

UPDATE: Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the organisers have taken the awards ceremony online. The winners will be announced at 2pm on Friday, 27th March. Caroline will be among the participants ‘presenting’ an award. You can watch the ceremony here.
